Big Bend Gutters installs 6-inch seamless gutters formed on site, repairs and cleans existing gutters, installs stainless micro-mesh gutter guards, and repairs, moves and extends downspouts. We work on homes, rentals and commercial buildings.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve Bay, Gulf, Walton, Jackson, Washington, Holmes, Calhoun, Franklin and Liberty counties in the Florida Panhandle. That includes Panama City, Panama City Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, DeFuniak Springs, Marianna, Chipley, Bonifay, Blountstown, Apalachicola and Port St. Joe. We work from 511 S Highway 71 in Wewahitchka.

What size gutters do you install?

Our standard is a 6-inch seamless gutter, formed at the property from one length of coil on our own machine. A 6-inch trough carries more water than a 5-inch one. Half-round in aluminum or copper is available when you want the look.

What makes a seamless gutter different?

Each run is formed on site from one length of coil and cut to the length of the roof edge, so there are no joints down the length of the gutter. Fewer joints means fewer places for leaks to start.

Do gutter guards keep out pine straw?

The guards we install are stainless micro-mesh. Pine needles, leaves and twigs stay on top of the mesh while rain passes through into the gutter, and most of it blows off. Guards cut down how often gutters need clearing but do not end it, and a heavy season can need the mesh brushed down.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

It depends on the trees around the property, not the calendar. Under heavy pine or oak, two or three times a year is common. On open ground, once a year is often enough. We clear gutters by hand, flush every downspout and take the debris away with us.

Should I repair or replace my gutters?

A repair is usually the right call when the run is sound and the fault is in one or two spots, such as a leaking seam or a few loose hangers. Replacement is the better spend when the gutters are rusted through, sagging along most of the length, or pulling away in several places.

Do you install underground drainage?

No. Our drainage work stops at the downspout and what attaches to it above ground: extensions, elbows and splash blocks that move roof water away from the foundation. Buried pipe, French drains, grading and excavation need a drainage contractor, and we will tell you when a job is one of those.
